HISTORICAL ESSAY COMPETITION – 2007 - 08
Students of all level may participate in the Historical essay contest. First three  best  essay  from each standard shall be awarded  prizes as follows: 

TO THE NOTICE OF THE SCHOOLS WILLING TO   PARTICIPATE IN THE HISTORICAL ESSAY COMPETITION

Every  Year  a  Mega Prize is being  presented  to the institution which records highest enrolment.

Certificate of appreciation to the Principal / Head Master /  In - charge teachers.
Educational Institutes contributing 100 and above are being honoured with HRD award under the title BEST MOTIVATION SCHOOL and head of the institutions and incharge teachers with this award under the title BEST MOTIVATION Head Master/ Principal / Teacher . Certificate of appreciation  to the Principal / Head Master /  In - charge teachers.
Educational Institutes contributing 100 and above are being honoured with HRD award under the title BEST MOTIVATION SCHOOL and head of the institutions and incharge teachers with this award under the title  BEST MOTIVATION Head Master/ Principal / Teacher .

There will be atleast  one consolation prize to all  Schools.
           
Certificate to all the Participants.
         
The topic for the essay competition is to be selected only from the list given.
         
Essays should not exceed five pages and should  be  the original work / style and in own hand writing.
Essays may be either in English or in Tamiil
The name of the student, standard, section, school, district and State with pin code should be written at top of the right side corner of the paper and full residential address at the end of the essay.

 TOPICS  FOR  THE  YEAR  - 2007

6 th and 7th Std    :   
Mahatma Gandhi and  his role for the Independence of India  (or)
                                    The Socio-Economic  and religious life during Chola period

8th and 9th Std     :   

The vijayanagara  regime and the Merits of the rule  of  Krishnadevaraya  or  The reasons  for and Consequences of  the Second World War

10th and 11th Std :    The reasons for success and downfall of Alexander  (or)
                                    The reasons for the success             and downfall of the Napoleon

12th Std                 :    The Life and teachings of Jesus Christ (or) The Life and     Teachings of Buddha

ENTRANCE  FEE  AND  OTHER  INFORMATIONS 

Entrance fee per student is Rs.20/- (Rupees twenty only)
          The Institution participating in this competition is requested to accept Rs.5/-                  ( Rupees five only ) per student towards postal and other related expenses and Rs.15/-  (Rupees fifteen only ) shall be sent to this office by means of Demand draft drawn in favour of HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH ORGANISATION Payable at Dharmapuri.  Money Order / Postal Orders also accepted. (Pay Orders / Cheques not accepted.).The following details are requested along with payment.

            In all matters pertaining to this contest HRDARO’s decision is final and binding. Disputes if any are subject  to  the  Jurisdiction  of  Dharmapuri  District  Courts  Only.
